Installation Guidelines
1. Prepare the surface where you will install the tile, make sure the area is clean, flat and smooth.
2. Plan the tile layout. It is recommended that you follow the arrow pattern indicated on the tile to help you put the pattern together. If your mosaic is a customized design, please layout the tile on the floor to see the whole design before installing it.
3. Beginning at the center of the design layout, and work your way outward. Spread the adhesive onto the floor with a trowel, and ensure that it is lay uniformly for the whole surface to avoid the mosaic tiles on forming waves. Carefully put the tile on the floor and press it gently for few seconds.
4. You may use a soft mallet to gently tap the tile to install it firmly on the surface.
5. Grout the mosaics 24 to 48 hours after you installed them. Spread the grout over the entire floor with a grout float held at a 45-degree angle to the floor. After about 15 minutes, the grout will set up enough for you to clean the excess from the surface of the mosaic tile.
6. To clean up the excess grout, you may use a lightly dampened sponge to wipe off the excess grout and any dried grout on the surface.
7. When you installed your tile on the floor, let it set for a recommended time before walking on it.
*It is advisable to follow the manufacturer's instructions on mixing the adhesive and grout.
** Some of the mosaic sheets come with a peel and stick installation, where you simply remove the liner sheet from the back of the tile and stick the tile to the wall. You may opt to put glue on it to stick it firmly on the surface.
